June at the Amphitheater: Your Guide to Every Show on the River This Month

Six concerts. Six reasons to stop by, feel the Grand River breeze, and let summer do its thing.

The Acrisure Amphitheater hit the ground running in May with a sold-out inaugural concert featuring Lionel Richie. June keeps the momentum of its debut season going with a packed lineup of country, hard rock, hip-hop, and legacy acts, plus a highly anticipated reunion 20 years in the making. Here’s who’s taking the stage, who’s opening, and what to spin before you go.

Saturday, June 6 — Parker McCollum

with Max McNown and Kassi Ashton

Parker McCollum’s rise has been a decade in the making— a Texas singer-songwriter whose blend of outlaw country and melodic pop-country earned him a devoted following long before mainstream radio caught up. Max McNown and Kassi Ashton open the night, both rising country voices worth arriving early for.

Recommended Listening: Start with Gold Chain Cowboy (2021), the record that put McCollum on the map. Burn It Down (from Never Enough) sharpens that sound into something with more edge and emotion.

Saturday, June 13 — Jelly Roll

with Kashus Culpepper

Few careers have bent as dramatically as Jelly Roll’s. The Nashville rapper and singer spent years grinding the independent circuit before his blend of country-rap confessionalism broke through to a mainstream audience hungry for exactly that kind of honesty. Kashus Culpepper opens — a young country artist whose own story of perseverance fits the night well.

Recommended Listening: Whitsitt Chapel is the album that made the case to doubters. Beautifully Broken is the deep cut that’ll make sense of why arenas keep filling up.

Monday, June 15 — Santana & The Doobie Brothers

Oneness Tour 2026

It’s a warm June Monday on the river and “Black Magic Woman” is drifting out over the water. Carlos Santana has been one of the most distinctive guitarists alive for more than fifty years, and his chemistry with The Doobie Brothers on this co-headlining run has drawn strong reviews all tour.

Recommended Listening: For Santana, Abraxas remains the entry point. For The Doobie Brothers, Toulouse Street and The Captain and Me will remind you just how deep that catalog goes.

Tuesday, June 16 — Godsmack

with Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy

Rise of Rock World Tour 2026

Godsmack has been one of hard rock’s most consistent draws since the late ’90s, built on Sully Erna’s muscular vocals and a band that never stopped touring. Stone Temple Pilots bring their own iconic catalog to the opener slot, and Dorothy, the rock singer who’s been quietly building a serious following on the touring circuit, rounds out a stacked night.

Recommended Listening: Faceless is Godsmack’s career statement; When Legends Rise shows they’ve still got range. For STP, Core and Purple hold up without apology.

Wednesday, June 17 — MGK

with Wiz Khalifa and De’Wayne

Lost Americana Tour

Machine Gun Kelly built his following in rap, pivoted hard into pop-punk, and has spent the last few years somewhere interesting in between. The Lost Americana era leans back toward his roots while keeping the stadium energy that’s defined his live show. Wiz Khalifa as a co-headliner makes this a legitimate double bill, and De’Wayne opens with a genre-blending set that’s worth catching.

Recommended Listening: For MGK, Tickets to My Downfall captures the pivot moment. For Wiz, Rolling Papers and the mixtape Kush & Orange Juice cover the essentials.

Thursday, June 25 — Darius Rucker

with Lauren Alaina and Austin Williams

Songs of Summer Tour 2026

Darius Rucker has had two full careers — one as the voice of Hootie & the Blowfish, one as a solo country artist — and both have produced songs that a lot of people know by heart. Austin Williams, a rising country artist who built a large following on TikTok, opens, followed by Lauren Alaina, known for her big, emotive country voice that plays well outdoors.

Recommended Listening: Learn to Live and True Believers are the solo country albums to know. Cracked Rear View is the Hootie record that sold 21 million copies and soundtracked a generation — worth a fresh spin before the show.

Looking Ahead to July

July keeps the summer energy high with a lineup of heavy hitters. “Weird Al” Yankovic kicks things off Fourth of July weekend on July 3, followed by the Grand Rapids Symphony Picnic Pops: Happy Birthday, America on July 4 and Jack Johnson on July 5. Dave Matthews Band plays two back-to-back nights July 7 and 8, one of the standout bookings of the debut season. Sarah McLachlan arrives July 17 with Allison Russell, followed by Hank Willaims Jr. on July 18 and Lil Wayne on July 25. The Black Crowes take the stage with Whiskey Myers on July 22. And that’s just a sampling of what’s on deck for July.
